Capital Square Tower 1, is one of three proposed buildings on the Old Emu Brewery site on Mounts Bay Road, Perth.

Tower One consists of 32 levels of premium grade office space and a NLA of 54,000m². The tower includes one basement level, a mid-level plant room, five floors classified as a Remote Operations Centre, and two floors for use as kitchen and dining facilities. The building is the new Perth headquarters for Woodside Energy Limited. The project is a 5 Star Green Star Design, 5 Star Green Star As-Built (v3) rating and has achieved a certified 5 Star NABERS energy rating.

DENMAC’s scope was varied and required our teams to be onsite at various times during the construction of the building. The Scope of Works included:

  • Design, procurement and installation of 86 panels of glass balustrade to rooftop level 30.
  • Design, fabrication and installation of thirty levels of fire stairs and platforms internally to building.

Each component of the project presented several challenges for DENMAC’s install team given the planning required for multiple deliveries into the CBD and the sequencing of exclusion zones required with other trades given the requirement of overhead works.
