As we face the ever increasing demands on the public health system, Perth’s new $60M Bethesda Mental Health Care Clinic (MHCC) in Cockburn offers the community access to a 75 bed state of the art private health facility.
It also delivers the first dedicated women’s only mental health ward in WA, to help cater for women traumatised by domestic violence.
After six years of planning, construction commenced in 2021 with Stage 1 now fully operational and Stage 2 recently completed !

As the artist Penelope Forlano explains, “The artwork captures the Bansia Woodland textures in a pattern that will ultimately span 60 meters. With back and front programmable lighting, the facade will evoke a breathing effect, slow and calming, inspired by the healing practice of diaphragmatic breathing”
