Fabricate and install aluminum SHS frame and clad with 3mm thick painted aluminum panels
Every multistorey building should have a centre piece of art that draws your attention and captures your imagination. The challenge is to design a piece that will remain modern and timeless and this has been achieved by one of Western Australia’s leading artists, Lorenna Grant, and DENMAC’s team.
The sheer size of the artwork being 7.6m x 1.5m presented a significant challenge to install. To overcome this, DENMAC’s design team engineered the structure to be completely aluminium which significantly reduced the weight of the frame and associated cladding. The artwork was lifted in two separate pieces to allow DENMAC’s installation team to handle the artwork without the requirement for a crane which would have presented a significant traffic issue at one of Perth’s busiest intersections.
The artwork itself was brought to life by a stunning combination of custom sprayed paintwork handpicked by Lorenna.
